Nearfield acoustic holography (NAH) is a non-contact way to calculate acoustic properties using pressure measurements taken close to, and parallel to, the source surface. PCB high-temp model 377B26 probe microphone was used to evaluate the performance of a carbon nanotube loudspeaker in this NAH measurement demo. Model 377B26 probe microphone and preamplifier was selected for this project because it is designed to operate in a high temperature environment of up to and beyond 400 °C. In addition, the probe tip provided the needed standoff distance to run cables and mount preamplifiers without the risk of damage to the fragile source. Download this White Paper to learn more.
